WHAT HAPPENED AT TECH SERVE ALLIANCE EXECUTIVE SUMMIT

At Optimal, we love networking, meeting great people and listening to the market. Nothing brings us more joy than getting to know you, the customer, and seeing your eyes light up when you realise just how easy it is to use our AI that optimises and automates your job ads for SEO and Diversity with a few mere clicks.

This year, we’ve been all about the (important) events. Recently our CEO Dan Fellows packed up the product and jetted off to the blistering desert to Palm Springs where Get-Optimal was a Silver Sponsor of The Tech Serve Alliance Executive Summit. We teamed up with Torin Ellis, Lauren B Jones, Chris Hendrick and the wonderful Susan Donohoe on the panel for numerous talks. The Mercury demo was something else. I would really encourage you to check out this brilliant UK-based company that is really reshaping the CRM landscape with CRM, automation, sourcing & analytics all on one platform.

The Tech Serve Alliance Executive Summit event was an opportunity to engage with CIOs, CTOs, and senior IT leaders in candid conversations as well as to better understand their technology and business needs. One of the key takeaways from the event was:
*Over 76% of attendees said over the past 12 months they have found it increasingly difficult to find the right folks, and they expected this to only become more challenging in 2023*.

The key question we asked - what are you doing differently in 2022 and planning to do in 2023 to attract more qualified and more diverse candidates? Naturally, the conversation always comes back to your Job Adverts and how they are the first time a candidate comes into contact with your business or brand. If you don’t make the Job Ads engaging, readable, inclusive and SEO friendly then you can’t ultimately expect to get a different outcome. You’ll continue to spend all your marketing dollars on advertising, advertising and advertising whilst continuing to be frustrated with the outcome.

On the panel that Get-Optimal hosted - The Role of DEI and ESG in Recruiting

Daniel was joined by Torin Ellis, Bertina Ceccare - Chief Executive Officer, NPower, Caren Shiozaki, CIO of Fortium Partners and Marina Perla - CEO & Founder to discuss and debate all things DE&IB and ESG. So many memorable moments but these were the key takeaways:

1. The ROI from DE&IB is greater humanity

2. You need an unwavering commitment to diversity and equity - Not just TA folks, Recruitment of a Chief Diversity Officer.

3. It all starts with the CEO and the Board - they need to be leaders and be accountable personally and publicly for it to really land in a company and to ensure all team members are involved.

4. ESG is a Staffing business imperative. Staffing firms can play their role. There are huge opportunities for staffing firms to work with disenfranchised folks and to uplift communities.

So armed with his trusty iPhone, Dan set about to record the best bits of Tech Serve.
